Stone, Uninterrupted
A ring composed of an unbroken band of stone is known as a hololith. They harken back to ancient times. There is a cool and robust feeling that comes from wearing a solid stone ring that cannot be had with typical metal jewelry. To me the allure lies in its simplicity – allowing the stone to speak without overcomplicating the matter. In this series I preserve the timeless aesthetic of the stone rings while adding a polished touch with faceted gems. Each piece is a self-contained story of light, color, shape and texture, their intrinsic beauty compounded by their uniqueness.
